Engagements | Morgan & Rikki
Sorry about the photos... all of their photo files are on a flash drive that I left at home, so I will update this post as soon as Christmas break is over.
Morgan and Rikki have become two of my best friends in the past few months. Remember this girl? She came back from her mission for the LDS church, and pretty much right away, her super awesome boyfriend proposed to her! Morgan's mom took engagements for them in Los Angeles, CA and did a beautiful job with them. But I thought to myself, I'm good friends with Morgan, she's so much fun to take photos of, we have time, and who wouldn't want extra photos anyway? So I asked, they agreed, and we planned a day for the shoot. And aren't they just great? I had SO much fun photographing this couple, getting to know them better, and giving them some newlywed insight and advice. And it's a darn good thing I did get this opportunity, because not much later the bride-to-be asked me to be her Maid of Honor. Definitely a wonderful experience.
Portraits | Wiltse Family
The Wiltse family and their adorable daughter Brooklyn were my last project before my busy wedding day, and I'm grateful for the chance to work with this sweet family before I left Canada. I know Vanessa through church; she was one of my youth leaders for a long time. We because pretty good friends through that, and then she had little Brooklyn while I was away at school. She asked if I could help them out with updating their family photos, and of course I was willing. I waited and waited for them to call me when their schedule worked for a shoot, and finally we scheduled the day, a week before my wedding! But that wasn't a problem. The summer weather was perfect, Brooklyn was happy, the photos went well, and I managed to not get a sun burn (an amazing feat for me). They did have to wait a little longer for their processed images because of my wedding plans, but I'm blessed with patient clients. And patient readers too I hope!
Portraits | Wilcox Family & Newborn
My oldest sister now has 2 beautiful little girls! Back when my first niece, Karys, was born, I didn't know much about photography and hadn't gotten involved in it. Also, this was my first opportunity to take newborn photos and it was an interesting and incredible experience. I got to take these photos less than a week after Raelynn was born. She was really awake, but not many smiles and no laughing yet. She was very cooperative, and the family was so much fun to take photos of. Hopefully I'll get to go home to take more family photos for them again soon.
Portraits | Missy
My wonderful husband (who was still my fiance during this shoot) and my beautiful friend Missy got together with me in Rexburg, Idaho when I went to visit for a couple of days and we did a fun model shoot. My husband chose the location and did her make up, and directed our lovely model to get the awesome photos we have.
Missy is such a spunky and fun-loving lady who follows her dreams and knows how to look good doing it! I love this girl and she definitely blew us away with her modeling ability.

Portraits | Becca
This lovely lady is one of my long-time best friends, and was one of my bridesmaids in my wedding this summer (which is the main reason I'm only JUST updating the blog). We went shopping that morning, then to a Summer Solstice Cosplay meet up where I dressed up as a Hogwarts student, and Becca was a very cute lolita girl. We all know what I do when I have friends who are willing to pose for me... take photos! Here's the result of that fun day.

Summer Teasers
Hello to a busy summer!
Yes, I've been ridiculously busy this summer between my regular job and planning my wedding (which is a week away!). But thankfully I have had some time to do photos this summer as well! Here's a peak of what we've been up to. More photos to come in a couple of weeks!

Portraits | Morgan
This post has been a long time coming...
I met Morgan at university through my fiance and we became great friends right away. She's such a wonderful lady, and very photogenic too. We've had many interesting and wonderful conversations about almost everything, and I know how talented, organized, determined, and spiritually motivated she is. And she was a great zumba companion, for the one day I went. She's been called to serve a mission in Dallas, Texas for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints so she's training and learning Spanish in Utah right now. I miss that wonderful girl so much, but I'm glad I get to hear from her frequently. I asked her if I could take portraits of her for her and her family before she left for her mission, so one fabulous sunny weekend in March we explored campus and the local town area taking photos along the way. I promised her I wouldn't post the photos until her mom got to see them, which was right before she left, but it's been almost a month since then. I've just been slacking.
