Portraits | my adopted roommates

Finally, an internet connection! Hello again online world. :)

These girls were my adopted roommates during my most recent semester at BYU Idaho, and what wonderful people they are! Each have such different personalities, which makes them all the more interesting to be around. I enjoyed every minute I spent around them, and I'll miss it all, but of course there's always a new adventure in store for us. This is my Christmas gift to these beautiful ladies. Have a very merry Christmas you guys!

Portraits | Sara & Nick

My first autumn shoot! Thank you to my best friend and her husband for allowing me to share a few laughs and an afternoon with them. The weather was nice, although cold, the leaves were perfect, and these two are still as wonderful as ever. What another great opportunity to come my way. Life is so full of opportunities, and I keep seeing more and more every day; more opportunities that I've already experienced, more that I've worked hard to make happen, and some that I'm so lucky to just be blessed with.

Look for the opportunities, not the road blocks.

Portraits | Megan

This girl is so wonderful, both is beauty and in spirit. Her hair is the most beautiful red, and her blue eyes contrast so well. She's also a wonderful young woman who put together a slideshow of photos from this shoot, complete with music, as a birthday present for her sweet boyfriend living across the country. She is truly a great person, and a good friend to me.

Portraits | It starts with a C and ends with the sea

That's what Chelsea says when people ask what her name is. "It starts with a C, and ends with the sea." And it's true! This is my bestest friend ever. And to my other best friends who read this, you're still my best friends; Chelsea just has a one up for being my best friend from the very beginning of university.
Her boyfriend and my friend, on a mission in El Salvador, sent her this jersey for the soccer team Chelsea with his last name on the back. She has other photos of her wearing the same jersey, but I really wanted to take more of her, mostly because she's just so beautiful!

Art | Ceramics and Drawings

So my talented sister has all this great art, and she wanted me to take pictures of it all before we left home for college. A few weeks later I finally got to edit them, and they look great!

Engagements | Sam²

I met Samantha and Samuel before they even knew each other; Samantha I met years ago as youth at church and we were great acquaintances until more recently, Samuel is a good friend I've gotten to know through the Young Single Adult branch we attend at church. Both are beautiful, loving people with inspiring personalities and so much faith. I'm so grateful to be friends with them, and even more grateful to be their engagement photographer!

Love is beautiful.

Portraits | Meghan

Meghan is a very talented competitive jump roper. She's also a beautiful friend of mine, so when she wanted photos of her jump roping, I couldn't say no, and I also couldn't pass up the opportunity to take portraits of her too. It was definitely the most creative shoot I've done thus far.
