Portraits | Dave

This is long over due, but at least it's finally done!

My good friend is a die hard Canucks fan, so logically we would go to Downtown Vancouver to watch the first Stanley Cup Playoffs game. And it was super exciting! The fan energy was exhilarating, the game was interesting, the crowds were exciting, and we won. No big deal. So with that adrenaline from having our favorite hockey team win the game, we went to the waterfront to take some photos.

Dave is one of those camera shy people. It's not that he's not photogenic or something. He just doesn't know what to do when put in the model position, and he kindly gave me a warning about this before we started shooting. But really, it makes for some great photos, and a lot of photos of him laughing or making absolutely hilarious faces.

Graduation | Gleneagle Secondary Friends

Eating a grilled cheese sandwich while blogging is very difficult... but oh so delicious. It's taken me quite a while, as you can tell, to finally get these photos edited and blogged, but I'm finally checking this one off my list!

These stunning students actually graduated 4 weeks ago. My friend Tina, who I photographed this year, told all her friends about my work and they agreed to give me the honor of being their photographer for their high school graduation prom. So we all planned to meet up at the location, and I didn't even think about what the Canucks game traffic would be like that evening... so the shoot was a lot shorter than I would've liked, but I'm glad we got some great photos out of it.

And if you happen to be very observant, you'll notice my new logo. It was brilliantly designed by my good friend Cory, an aspiring graphic artist.

Praying for sun!

Events | Emily's Birthday

Emily is a good friend. She's fun and stylish, she's a great mother to her adorable sons, and she had a birthday party!

The guests at the party were requested to come in costume, and they all did a fantastic job. The decorations and food were quirky and delicious, and provided interesting photo subjects. After the food, the games came out. It was Minute to Win it. Basically, the player has one minute to complete a task that (at this party) they randomly chose out of a container. Some of them were particularly hard, but with such competitive couples it was quite entertaining for everyone.
